False start for Starlets as WPL kicks off

Kisumu All Starlets began their 2020 Keya Women Premier League on a wrong footing after falling at home to Trans Nzoia Falcons last Sunday.

Playing a good first half that saw the home side Starlets squander a number of chances, Coach Juma Saidi’s girls would come to rue these as Falcons began the second half on a high ascendancy.

It did bot take long before a hard-working Grace Tambo was finally beaten by Falcons. A powerful Tumaini Waliaula shot was parried back in play and the rebound tucked away for a 1-0 Falcons victory.

Starlets will be without a match this weekend as defending champions Vihiga Queens take on Wadadia in their first match of the season.
