Nyanza Region boys basketball champions Agoro Sare High School were on Sunday 19th January, 73-27 winners over Friends School Kamusinga in the second edition of the Pacho Hoops Biro Lich tournament staged at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground in Kisumu.

Meanwhile, Kisumu Day Hockey bagged first place in the boys’ hockey final after easily sailing past Oriwo Boys by a two-goal margin.
Five-time East African champions Sinyolo Girls were in the girls’ final taken to task by Tigoi Girls, the Nyanza champions having to win by just a one-goal difference. 2-1 was the final result as Sinyolo took first place in girls hockey.
The third discipline contested was handball and this stayed with Kanyamedha Secondary School who took down Ototo in the final.
Nyanza region boys handball champions Kanyawanga High School had beaten Kisumu Boys in the semi-final and faced off with Musingu High School from western in the final. A tough game tied at 10-10 at the break, Kanyawanga would stretch away in the second half to win 19-15 and thus condemn Musingu to second place.
