Kisumu football fraternity were on Tuesday 7th treated to sad news involving the passing on of promising youngster Jonathan Juma, famously known in the football field as Otto.
Otto, who has been playing for former Kenyan Premier League side Muhoroni Youth FC had just come home from the sugar belt at is here that he met his death in a grisly manner, the motorbike which he was boarding got involved in an accident. The youngster would be pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Jonathan has previously played for Griffins FC in the FKF division one before its disbandment. His current club Muhoroni Youth have expressed their remorse for losing such a key striker who was in fact on target for the team in their last league encounter on Sunday.
” It saddens us to announce the untimely death of our beloved brother Jonathan Juma “Otoo”. Otoo was involved in a road accident in Kisumu after which he was rushed to Rushia where he died. Until his death, he was playing for Muhoroni Youth. May his soul rest in peace,” says a post by Muhoroni Youth.
Kenya Footballers Welfare Associated have also expressed their condolences to friends and family at Jonathan’s passing on and have made contact with close friend in order to see the once-promising youngster get a decent send-off.
Contributions for the sending off of the departed are to be sent to Renja FC Youth coach Zack Odida who is a close friend to the family.
