Kisumu side Western Stima FC were on their way to dropping yet another set of three points when they played KCB FC in Machakos but a last minute goals from Clifford Omondi helped the powermen secure a point from the hotly-contested fixture.
Stima, whho are now win-less in six matches, went behind courtesy of a Kennedy Owino goal in the 34th minute and as the tie drew to a close, the home side KCB believed they had bagged all three points.
With the three minutes of injury time played already, defender Luke Ochieng went to the sidelines to take what would be his 13th throw in of the match and quite possibly, the last throw of the game.
Ochieng, a throw-in specialist, dropped the ball right into the KCB 18 yard area and a melee developed, one that ended with Clifford ‘Euro’ firing the equalizer with his laces.
The draw see Stima drop to 11th on the Kenya Premier League table standings with 24 points from 13 matches.
